Not every implant case is straightforward. Years of tooth loss, gum disease, or naturally thin bone can leave patients with insufficient bone volume for standard implants. That's where complex implant surgery comes in — advanced techniques that rebuild bone and create the foundation needed for successful implants.
Bone Grafting
When the jawbone has deteriorated, bone grafting adds bone material (from your own body, a donor, or synthetic sources) to the deficient area. Over several months, your body incorporates this graft material and grows new bone, creating a solid base for implant placement.
Sinus Lift (Sinus Augmentation)
The upper back teeth sit close to the maxillary sinus. When these teeth are lost, the sinus can expand downward, leaving too little bone for implants. A sinus lift gently raises the sinus membrane and places bone graft material underneath, creating enough height for implant placement.
Ridge Augmentation
When the jaw ridge has narrowed or shortened after tooth loss, ridge augmentation rebuilds the ridge to its original dimensions, ensuring implants have adequate bone support from all angles.
Immediate Implant Placement
In select cases, we can place implants immediately after tooth extraction, reducing the number of surgeries and shortening overall treatment time.
Quick Info
Why Choose Complex Implant Surgery?
The Treatment Process
3D Imaging & Planning
CBCT scan for precise 3D mapping of bone volume, nerve locations, and sinus anatomy.
Bone Grafting / Sinus Lift
The preparatory surgery to rebuild bone. This may be done separately or combined with implant placement.
Healing & Integration
4-9 months for the graft to mature and integrate with your natural bone.
Implant Placement
Once adequate bone is confirmed, implants are placed and the restoration process continues.
